Honey, I’m Home
“Karryn & Dean, we can’t thank you enough for your gentle guidance, humour, patience, intelligence and incredible value-add through this renovation process. We now have a family home that is a joy to live in. Living in the home that you both designed for us makes us happier and strengthens us as a family unit. The works that we did will no doubt prove to be a fantastic financial investment in the future also. Thank you a million for your help, guidance and friendship.
Love from Anna, Dan & Gussy”
When we first met Anna and Dan, it was just them and their pooch, Ron. The original brief for this home was for an update to the upper level with a few rejigs to the main bedroom and kitchen. Life had a different plan for this couple, so the brief for this home evolved quickly.
During the design phase of this project, our clients got married and announced the upcoming arrival of little Gus. Shortly after the project was completed, baby Sandy joined the family.
This project eventually encompassed the complete overhaul of a generic 1980s house. With an incredible view over the Derwent River, this home is specifically tailored for a busy young family.
The project was undertaken in two stages. The lower-level bedrooms, family library, work-from-home study, laundry, and family bathroom were reconfigured. The modifications to the upper level include a new kitchen and the reconfiguration of the main bedroom, ensuite, and robe.
Natural finishes and a contemporary colour palette were introduced throughout the home.
